Student Crimestoppers

Crime Stoppers initiated a Student Crime Stopper Program in September 2002. Schools in Erie and Niagara counties and all Colleges and Universities in the Metro Buffalo area are involved in this program. Students who have information will be issued an informant number. That number is used by the student to receive a reward if the student's information is significant. This insures the student's anonymity.

Crime Stoppers Weapon Program

In May 2000, Crime Stoppers initiated a Crime Stopper Weapon Program . This program allows Crime Stoppers to pay an additional one hundred dollar ($100.00) reward to an informant for information regarding an illegal firearm. The information must lead to an arrest and seizure of said firearm.

The Crime Stoppers Weapon Program will function under the terms and conditions established by the Board of Directors and as is consistent with the stated purposes of the organization.
